Greetings -
It has been "forever" since I've typed here.
Fears, sloths (watch out for those sneaky sloths), lazinesses, re-lack of confidence (it happens), and not keeping up the habits. Blogging is only one of them.
"BLOG" gets printed in the weekly planning journal often. It just doesn't get done. I draw, paint, read - not enough, even do laundry and/or dust!, but do not type. I do make. daily mandala. Every day - since late last December. Here is one- pre- novel coronavirus days. A bit hard to remember those carefree and merry days.
This is a bit odd, because I actually like the clickity clickity of the laptop keyboard sound. Then there is the "What if nobody reads this?" That should not matter. What should matter is the challenge of the doing. Or - The Challenge of the Doing!
Sis and I have been doing some challenges new to us - for fun. For fun? For fun!
One.... is taking Seriously Cold Showers at least three or four times a week. We are under the influence of Wim Hoff. The Iceman. Google him, if you want to. No pressure. Sis uses her particular words to ward off the cold. I crank up the soundtrack from "Chicago." Seriously.
OK. I have blogged. One down. On to creating a string of something.
And creating a new website. But that's another challenge.
May you keep sane and breathing.
Fare-thee-well,
Sue

Do You See A Pattern?
Sheesh and Sigh -
It is well past time to study why I do/don't do some of the things I do/don't do.
It's as though there is is some kind of On/Off switch in brain and I am not in complete control of this mysterious power.
Habit can become What Habit? over night.
On to the keeping of records for some certain habits I'd prefer were being better kept.
Till once again I forget or "forget" to keep track.
Toodles and fare-thee-well,
Sue
P,S. - On the whole, though, I have been squeezing the Life Juice out of this particular April - so Huzzah for that! Either that - or napping and having really odd dreams. Maybe a wee bit too much squeezing.

Book - 4
Argh.
The habit of not following through is mucking up the Goal of 200 Blog Posts this year.
Yes, this IS a disappointing part of my way of making my way through life. Once upon a time I had almost three straight years of perfect attendance in school. No, that's not much compared to some other people, but it's not a bad record. And I used to pedal a bicycle thirty miles almost every summer day - thunderstormy days were the exception - for exercise and FUN. I fumed when I missed a day.
So I know stubborn achieving "me" is in me. I have to find a way to have her show up way more often again.
I don't know if you are dealing with similar habits/not quite habits. If you have tips for keeping on task, please share.
Yes, timers work - but only if one remembers to use them. Yes, lists work, if one remembers to write and then do what is written.
Now it is time to return to the trenches. Well, not quite yet. Some lads who are still alive are discussing what they might do when the war is over. Options and opinions have changed. They will never return to the world they'd started out from. And lots more death is coming...
Odd note: When listening to meditation music while also listening to "All Quiet on the Western Front" the war seems slightly less horrible. Sigh. It is time to quit the music and get back to the shelling.
(On a shallower note: We hunted stuff down at city-wide yard sales for around seven hours today. We found treasures to re-sell, a few treasures to keep, and a few treasures to give away. Tomorrow the hubby will keep hunting. I have to get serious about dealing with the "bears.")

30 - 20: Something New
Wow. Twenty typings so far. Ten to go.
This is now almost a habit.
But my habits seem to come and go.
So this must simply be continued.
So it WILL be a habit.
Once upon a time
One habit was
to ride
a bicycle
30
miles
every day.
6 in the morning
after helping
milk the cows
and the rest
after milking
from about 6:30
till eight
in the Wisconsin
summer evening
Sometimes
the habit
didn't want to be
but the rule was
Get On the Bike
And Start Up the Hill
and by the time I'd gotten to the top
of Gurney Hill the rest of the
miles
came
easy.
